This place needs so much improvement that it just screams "help!" the instant you walk in the door. Gardens are untended, walls need painting, eating areas are nearly what you’d imagine in a concentration camp, and there are NO CHAIRS for visitors at all. You must go around to hunt one down in the hall or in a room where one is unused and unbroken.
Jewish Home of Rochester fits my husband’s level of care, so it is good. It is one of the better places in the area. It is a pretty nice community, and it is clean. In terms of value for the money, it is very expensive. The people that are there are very attentive to the families and the residents. Provide clients with assistance with personal care activities including bathing, mouth care, denture care, skin care, grooming, bathroom care, transferring, ambulation, and dressing.

There is no decent art on the walls, no cheery color, no inviting area amid the linoleum and metal furniture for comfort. The staff is pleasant and helpful if asked. I think it would be hard to work in such surroundings.
I have seen absolutely no evidence of their memory care "program". They stopped providing my Mom physical therapy because she did not seem to progress which is a state violation of her rights. Tried to limit her family’s visiting; also a violation of state nursing home law. Dishes, cups and mugs are consistently dirty with brown residue inside mugs. Administration doesn’t seem to take action upon hearing concerns or complaints and have actually been very unprofessional and threatening towards family member. The quality of care which my Mom receives depends on the Aide taking care of her at the time and not the general standard of the home, itself.

We had a very bad experience with the staff. The floor itself was clean and the nurse’s assistants were good, but the staff itself was horrible. The rehab floor was recently remodeled, but the floors that weren’t remodeled were depressing. I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody, especially for rehab.

The staff we’ve spoken to and have had communication with have all been very friendly and helpful. I haven’t had an opportunity to ask my mother about the food, so I don’t know about that. I was in the main building, their reception area, and things looked clean, tidy, and nicely kept. Besides their rehabilitation, it’s a nursing home as well.

We are a Free service to the community and provide free care options to Seniors and Families at No Charge. We are compensated by participating senior living facilities and vendors. Many seniors and their families use some form of financial assistance to help them pay for nursing care.
Beyond that, I don’t know a whole lot about the facility. The hospital that my mother was at placed her there. It was easy to get to, and there was available parking.

We chose Edna Tina Wilson Living Center for my wife because the others wouldn’t accept her. I am impressed with the room that she has. I haven’t had an opportunity to really spend a lot of time with the nurses, but they did quite a bit on the first day checking her out. They are trying to get comfortable with each other and I think they’re doing a good job. They’re doing an excellent job with the food, too.

The pictures online is not what you see in this place. Everyone that work there should be fired if they don’t care about the people or the up keep of where they work. My mother been there for only a week now and it is awful. They don’t bathe them no hygiene no clean sheets they don’t do nothing. Something need to be done no one should have to live like this. Just think if this was your family member will they be treated like this.
